The five day gala fashion event Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) summer/resort 2011 ended in Mumbai recently. Jointly organized by Lakme, the leading Indian cosmetics and beauty brand and IMG Fashion, global leader in the management and production of fashion weeks and designer fashion events, LFW has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world.” This year’s edition brought together on one platform prominent buyers, fashion editors, models, actors as well as established designers along with a new concept of emerging, Gennext and accessory designers who together rocked the show.

Day one started off with Anamika Khanna’s show. She wooed the audience with her simple yet stunning style. The other highlight of the day was the Tokyoeye show from Japan where the fashion fraternity got to sample the genius of three young and successful Japanese designers.

Bollywood’s favorite designer Manish Malhotra ended the second day of the fashion week with a men’s and women’s collection comprising of beautiful chikankari work and Kashmiri embroidery in delicate summer shades. While Bollywood celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Sophie Choudhry, Sameera and Sushma Reddy came to watch his show, others such as Sonam Kapoor, Simi Garewal and Rahul Bose graced Anamika’s show.

This year’s edition saw a plethora of Bollywood divas sashaying down the ramp for their favorite designer. While Riya Sen wore a little white dress for Arpan Vohra on day one, Tushar Kapoor wore a creation by Sabbah Sharma on day two; Zayed Khan and Diya Mirza walked the ramp as showstoppers for designer Rocky S on the fourth day. Viv Richards and Neena Gupta also turned up together to watch their daughter Masaba Gupta present her Masai tribe collection – contemporary and yet earthy and rustic – in her characteristic color blocking for her lean maxis and innovatively stitched lungi saris in stripes or dots and other garments.

Kicking off an exciting day three was the much heralded accessory show with Eina Ahluwalia, Malini Agarwalla and Suhani Pittie. With accessories being the new heroes of fashion, each designer brought to the ramp a unique and personal collection appealing to a wide variety of women. Baul singers of West Bengal were on the ramp for Babit Malkani’s show. Other well-renowned accessories designers who exhibited at the LFW this year included Prabhat Kumar, Rachana Reddy, Rina Shah and Rohan Arora among others.

The curtains came down on day five with models walking the ramp for designers such as Abhishek Dutta , Lina Tipnis, Satya Paul, Abdul Haldar, Prabhat Kumar, Rachna Reddy, V’J Balhara and Pallavi Mohan. The fantasy collection by Delhi designer sister duo Gauri and Nainika ramp show brought the house down at the grand finale. With a focus on new emerging talent as well as the Gennext designers who style for the young and trendy India, the LFW summer/resort 2011 was a grand success, paving the way for the next one to follow later this year.

Kareena Kapoor will launch the book on fitness called Women and the Weight Loss Tamasha on 15 January, 2011.

Women and the Weight Loss Tamasha is written by fitness professional Rujuta Diwakar , who earlier authored Don’t Lose Your Mind Lose Your Weight, which was also launched by Kapoor. Kapoor who is a close friend and client of who Diwakar will fly from Switzerland to Mumbai especially for the launch of the book.

Dhobi Ghat Special Screening

Aamir Khan's latest film Dhobi Ghat is to release without an interval.

The Kiran Rao-directed project defies Indian cinema conventions in not having a break midway through the film, reports Hindustan Times.

Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV outlined: "Aamir spoke to all the multiplexes and they agreed to no interval.

"Dhobi Ghat is only 95 minutes long and structured to be watched in one sitting without an interval, so yes, the multiplexes have seen the wisdom of his logic."

Rang De Basanti filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra supported this change in screening tradition, stating: "Intervals are an unnatural break applied in the middle of a film to sell samosas."

The production, which follows the lives of four individuals across Mumbai, releases worldwide on January 21.

Written and directed by Aamir Khan's wife, Kiran Rao, the Aamir Khan produced movie follows four different characters who all live and work in the washer area known as Dhobi Ghat near Mahalaxmi Station on the Western Railway in Mumbai. The washers, who are called dhobis, work with local hotels and hospitals and their job consists of washing clothes in the open air. This 'outdoor laundry' has even become a tourist attraction in Mumbai.
Dhobi Ghat stars Prateik Babbar, Aamir Khan, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra. Aamir Khan plays a painter named Arun, Prateik Babbar portrays Munna, a washer in the dhobi area, Kriti Malhotra plays a Muslim girl called Yasmin and Monica Dogra portrays a banker named Shai who is only in India on holiday.
The dramatic movie follows these four individuals and shows how their lives are intertwined and changed by random encounters. "Dhobi Ghat is my homage to Mumbai and its people - people on the trains, in the boats, stuck in traffic, perched on the construction sites, sitting by the sea, thinking of tomorrow," director Kiran Rao told reporters. "What started five years ago as a vague idea is now a 100-minute reality and I am most excited and very nervous."
Shai and Arun meet during the opening of Arun's new art show. They end up spending the night together but in the morning they part ways thinking they will probably never meet again. Munna, a young dhobi whose job it is to wash Shai's clothes, dreams of becoming an actor. He convinces Shai to help him with his portfolio and in return he promises the banker to show her the real city of Mumbai. They become friends but Munna soon falls in love with Shai.

Ganesh Acharya hosted the music launch of his forthcoming film Angel. The evening saw friends and family getting together for this special day. Ganesh's friends Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Suniel Shetty came to support him. All of them saw the promos and spoke about the film.

Sanjay Dutt who was away shooting for his film could not make it but the whole family, Priya Dutt, Namrata Kumar Gaurav and Manyata Dutt came to launch the music of the film. Manyata congratulated Nilesh Sahay on behalf of Sanjay Dutt and spoke about how Sanjay Dutt is excited about his nephew making debut in the Indian Film Industry.

Nilesh Sahay came with his mother Zahida and brother Brijesh while actress Maddalsa was accompanied by her mom Sheela Sharma.

Angel directed by popular Choreographer Ganesh Acharya has Nilesh Sahay (Sanjay Dutt's nephew and son of yesteryear’s actress Zaheeda who was seen in song Choodi Nahi Ye Mera Dil Hai with Dev Anand) making his debut with another debutant Maddalsa Sharma (daughter of television actress Sheela Sharma). The film is a story about two people, a girl Sonal who cant speak and a boy Abhay who speaks a lot. How Abhay meets Sonal who he fondly calls 'Angel' and becomes her friend helping her overcome her disability. A perfect Valentine film, Angel is slated to release on 4 Feb 2011.

It’s generally perceived that fashion shows are a display of designer clothes or limited to mere display of physique.

However, fashion shows are more of an opportunity to display fashion garments based on global looks and modern age. The catwalk of models wearing distinct clothes with a mixture of lights and colours is the milestone of the career of a model.

Fashion shows also serve as a venue to display the clothing designed by talented students studying fashion designing.

The students studying at International India Trade Centre (IITC) are required to prepare a project report as part of their academics.

The fashion show gives them a chance to display selected designer garments which models wear on the ramp. If their talent is recognized by the experts present on the occasion, the budding designers get a chance to pursue their vocation on a bigger scale and present their designs to a wider audience.

IITC has been engaged in creating a bright future for the youth by promoting clothes based on Indian culture.

“It’s significant to note that fashion shows have the potential for exhibition designer garments on the ramp by models”, says IITC founder S K Urval.

“IITC will be organizing ‘Fashion Show–2010’ at the ballroom of Hotel Leela Kempinski, Andheri (East), on Saturday May 1. Celebrities from Bollywood are expected to attend the fashion show”, he added.

Over 320 students of IITC courses trained by directors Reena V Urval, Sandesh S Urva,l and Neha S Urval, will present their designer wear at the event.

Young politicians, Marathi cinema actors, and dignitaries are also likely to attend the final rounds.

S K Urval hails from Beltangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada and is the founder of IITC and a known name in the fashion industry both in India and abroad. He has been at the helm of IITC for over four decades.

IITC’s fashion show is the sole Indian venture that has been exposed to global fashion and has already carved its niche in the fashion industry.

IITC has eight branches in the greater Mumbai area and more than 13 branches across the country.

It offers post graduation courses and diplomas in aviation, tourism, and hospitality management in airlines and travel courses, international airlines and travel management, air hostess and flight pursers training, international air cargo management, hotel management, in fashion designing with garment construction, fashion merchandizing, interior designing, jewellery designing, and accessory designing which are recognized by IATA / UFTAA.

Jan 7th 2011: A new venture in the online ticketing space, TicketPlease.com, will be launched on the 10th of January 2011; according to a press release, the ticketing business will cover movies, concerts, plays and sports events, and is being launched by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn. The site will also feature film reviews, celebrity news, online chats, blogs, videos and photographs, and retail DVDs, music CDs and movie merchandise.

While the nature of Devgn’s involvement with the venture isn’t specific (the press release is vague and low on detail), a check on Linkedin reveals the following: TicketPlease.com is a venture of OneUp Arts Pvt. Ltd, part of Bollywood producer Nitin Manmohan’s OneUp group. The website will launch with Devgn buying the first tickets for the upcoming movie “Yamla Pagla Deewana”, which is produced by Manmohan.

TicketPlease (On Twitter, On Facebook) will compete with sites like Bigtree Entertainment’s BookMyShow.com and Kyazoonga.com on ticketing, but we’re not sure if YPD tickets will be limited to TicketPlease only. It’s a difficult situation: for the online ticket sales to be a success, the producers would prefer to maximise distribution with multiple sites.

However, in order to build the online business, TicketPlease would prefer exclusive rights to ticketing. What happens if several Bollywood Producers and/or actors launch their own online ticketing venture? This is an aggregators game, and about creating ticketing destinations.

And for most of the night, the spotlight was on the two lovely ladies — Chitrangda Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari. And yes, they certainly made most of it, what with most of the other guests being men! Producer Prakash Jha, director Sudhir Mishra and other filmmakers like Ashoke Pandit and Madhur Bhandarkar formed a guy gang and were seen chatting nineteen to the dozen.

The musical performance by Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawalla was much appreciated by Arunoday Singh, who whistled and clapped loudly as they ended the performance. Kunal's wife Gayatri Ganjawalla was also present. Shilpa Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak, Deepa Sahi and Divya Dutta were some of the other guests who came to enjoy the evening.

In keeping with the Makar Sankranti spirit of the season and having tied up with the upcoming film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (DTBHN), 92.7 BIG FM linked the on-air promotion of the film by giving it the flavour of the festival. The star cast of the film recalled childhood memories of Makar Sankranti and kite flying, and leading man Ajay Devgn flew a huge 10-foot-tall kite along with Shazahn Padamsee, his leading lady from the film. The evening saw a different side of the Golmaal star as he interacted with listeners of 92.7 BIG FM and gave some interesting tips on how to fly kites.

Devgn, along with director Madhur Bhandarkar and DTBHJ stars Omi Vaidya and Shazahn Padamsee, promoted their latest film and gave listeners a sneak peek into behind-the-scenes-trivia of the movie. Devgn, noted for his pranks on movie sets along with Omi Vaidya and Madhur Bhandarkar, revealed tiffs, fun fights and mischief played by them with others from the movie during its making.

With this film, in a departure from his earlier realistic and serious hard-hitting movies, National Award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has experimented with the genre of comedy. The story of DTBHJ is based on three friends and their respective slices of romance.

Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat, who is making her foray into television with dance show Chak Dhoom Dhoom, made members of the media dance with her on the launch event of the show here on Wednesday. Mallika, who is one of the judges on the show along with actor-comedian Jaaved Jaaferi and ace contemporary dancer Terence Lewis, made her entry at the event, dancing on her hit track Maiyyan maiyyan. She was clad in a short red sleeveless dress.
After that, she urged members of the media to join her on the stage and shake a leg with her. Many journalists obliged and danced with the actress on the song Main talli ho gayi.

"The press has always made me dance on their tunes but today (Wednesday) I wanted to do something different and make the press dance instead," Mallika said.

While Jaaved couldn't be at the event, Terence joined the Murder and Hisss actress on the stage.

The show, which will showcase groups from all over the world, will be aired on Colors on January 14 onwards. They will be judged on the basis of their choreography, timing, synchronization, team effort and appeal.

Salman Khan elbowed out Shah Rukh Khan in the Chevrolet Apsara Awards 2011 Film & Television Producers Guild Awards. The award went to the biggest hit of the year 2010 Dabangg. Shah Rukh and Salman were received 13 and 10 nominations respectively. Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti and Ajay Devgn’s Once Upon a Time In Mumbai were also nominated in various categories in Apsara Awards 2011.

Karan Johar received the award for the best director for the movie My Name is Khan. Shah Rukh Khan was the hero of the movie. Vidya Balan received award for her performance in Ishqiya. World Cup 2011 Collection Launch

ICC has released one of cricket’s biggest communication campaigns across the sub-continent for Cricket World Cup 2011.
The ICC Cricket World Cup is the biggest and the most prestigious tournament in the game. To be held across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the ICC CWC 2011 will witness 14 nations battle for cricket’s most coveted prize. Conceptualized by the ICC Marketing Team and Ogilvy Mumbai, the campaign for ICC CWC 2011 shall arguably be the biggest to promote any sporting tournament in the sub-continent.

Navin Talreja, Managing Partner, Ogilvy & Mather says, “About 1000 matches were played between the last ICC Cricket World Cup and this one. Many tournaments, many cups but a World Cup in any sport has been and will continue to be the pinnacle of achievement. The postioning line ‘The Cup That Counts’ serves as a reminder to all cricket fans of this very simple fact.”
With this in mind, a surround campaign involving not just TV, Print, Outdoor, PR but also last mile mediums such has Digital and Activation was created for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Navin adds, “This time around we have moved away from the conventional amplification approach of the core idea across mediums. Instead the messaging strategy for different elements developed reflects different facets of “The Cup That Counts” from the point of view of the teams, players and of course the fans.”
The campaign kicked off worldwide on the 1st week of January with the launch TV commercial titled ‘Tightrope’. Abhijit Avasthi, National Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather says, “Every country, every player and every fan has only one wish – to win the race to the cup. But this is no ordinary race. Full of obstacles and surprises, to win this race, each player would need to literally walk on a tightrope. Keeping this in mind we decided to use a metaphor and depicted a tightrope race to the cup that counts”.
The ‘Tightrope’ commercial aptly captures the passion, celebration, competition and fun associated with the game of cricket like never seen before. Shot across the entire city of Jaipur over 5 days, the commercial ‘features’ captains from most of the playing nations and over 400 fans from various countries. Professional tightrope artists were flown in from USA and UK for the filming of this commercial.
This film has been shot by the Cannes Gold winning director Bob of Good Morning Films and the music has been composed by Dhruv Ghanekar. This launch campaign shall also be supported by print and outdoor, shot by international photographer Palani Chandramohan.
In addition, fans will also get to see another campaign featuring iconic players from the sub-continent. A series of 3 commercials starring Sachin Tendulkar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shakib Ul Hasan respectively, this campaign plays upon a deep personal wish that these cricketing legends are fostering – to bring the cup home. These films have been directed by Piyush Raghani of Old School Films and shall go on air towards end January. This campaign too shall be supported by print and outdoor.

Additionally, cricket fans shall also enjoy the Official ICC CWC 2011 Event Theme Song titled ‘De Ghumaa Ke’ that has been released on radio channels across the country. Composed and sung by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, this song brings alive the fierce sense of competition and the desire to win. The same song shall also be adapted in local languages for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. A music video featuring Shankar Ehsaan Loy and ICC CWC 2011′s Official Mascot ‘Stumpy’ is also in the works and shall be released by end of this month.
Further, ICC shall also unleash a slew of contests and below the line initiatives to help spread the CWC 2011 buzz. Across venue cities, Official Countdown Clocks shall be placed at airports and popular malls, uniquely designed ICC CWC 2011 branded vans shall give fans a chance to share their wishes, radio stations shall run contests to help fans win tickets and much more.
As a part of ICC’s CSR and youth outreach initiative, Ogilvy also rolled out a nation-wide school contact program alongwith UNAIDS. The program reached out to 8 cities, 70 schools and above 10,000 students who got a chance to learn about AIDS awareness and also participate in an Inter School Mini Cricket World Cup Tournament.

The music launch of the upcoming movie PATIALA HOUSE, produced by Mukesh Talreja and directed by Nikhil Advani was held at Whistling Woods International (WWI), a film academy. The music directors are Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

At the music launch we saw Advani along with the cast of the film including Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Hard Kaur and debutant Tanvir Singh. It was done in an innovative and inspiring way. Producer Bhushan Kumar was not present for the launch but others charmed the occasion.

PATIALA HOUSE is about achieving one’s dreams, so there couldn't be a better way to launch the music than doing it before the youth, so that they are inspired. Akshay Kumar was looking stylish in his semi-suit look whereas Anushka was dressed in classy way and the duo charmed everyone. Hard Kaur was as usual funky, but too garnered a lot of attention.

When students asked Akshay about the film he said, “Believe in your dreams, put in a lot of hard work and make sure you are honest with it. Honesty is one of the biggest things in this industry. I might not be a great actor but I am always honest.”

Anushka nodded and agreed that Akshay had inspired her a lot in many ways and she hopes that "she remains as professional like him, always.” The event ended with musical note when Hard Kaur rapped the mehendi song from the movie.

Imran Avantika Marriage Party

From Friday to Monday, he cancelled all his work appointments to participate in the wedding ceremonies of his nephew Imran Khan and Avantika Malik. But on Tuesday night, when the two families and their closest friends head to Phuket for a three-day celebration, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao will not

board the flight. The reason: they need to complete the pending work on their forthcoming film, Dhobi Ghat, which releases on January 21.

The mehendi and music party at the Maliks’ farmhouse on Saturday, the registration of Imran and Avantika’s wedding at the Khan residence — 24, Pali Hill — on Monday and a dinner with both the families at the Taj Land’s End, will be the last of the celebrations Aamir and Kiran will be part of. They will then attend the reception on February 5.

On Tuesday, the newly married couple will fly off to Thailand with a group of 50 people. Apart from their parents, Mansoor Khan with his wife and children, Aamir’s sisters Nikhat and Farhat with their kids, his mother Zeenat Hussain, too are part of this three-day function.

“The families have booked Marriott’s Khao Lak island resort, about an hour away from Phuket, where the celebrations will continue for three days. The couple’s friends will conduct a wedding ceremony where Imran and Avantika will exchange their wedding vows, which they’ve been writing for the last few days,” reveals a friend of the family.

It is believed that Avantika chose this destination for its pristine white sand beach stretches that meet the exquisite azure waters as well as the lush tropical greenery, granite mountains and beautiful waterfalls. Aamir’s official spokesperson confirmed the actor-filmmaker absence saying, “It’s Avantika’s idea and she has done all the bookings and logistic arrangements. While both sides helped put up all the parties, this Khao Lak trip is completely Avantika’s brainchild.”

Though the families were keen to have Aamir and Kiran accompany them, the couple, which is wrapping up the post-production of Dhobi Ghat, opted out with a heavy heart. They were unavailable for comment

The sangeet and mehndi function of the ‘Break Ke Baad’ actor Imran Khan and his long-time girlfriend was a star-studded affair.

As the two happily posed for the shutterbugs, it was evident that both were very excited for their new life and waiting to get away for an exotic honeymoon, soon after the wedding ceremonies end.

“The couple dressed in traditional clothes had family and friends for company for the mehndi ceremony that was held at Pali Hill,” disclosed a close source.

The ceremony took place at the bridegroom’s farmhouse at Karjat followed by a night-long party for the guests including the glitterati of B-Town and other renowned celebrities from the city of dreams, Mumbai.

Among the first to arrive at the mehndi and sangeet ceremony venue was Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s first wife Reena Dutta along with her two kids Junaid and Ira.

The next were Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao, who drove in at the venue in their BMW. This was followed by the other guests that included Imran’s co-stars.

The wedding couple had reached the venue early in the morning to prepare for the occasion.

“The music, starting off with western but quickly changed to Bollywood with a dash of Punjabi, and the deco-ration was decided by Avantika’s father,” informed a source.

”The stars rocked the night away, all set for even bigger wedding day,” the source added.

Couple to live in Bandra after wedding
A house in Bandra, Mumbai is being renovated for the couple to move in after their nuptial.

“The house is being renovated now and it is being readied in record time. The work on the interiors is going on as we speak. After the registry at the Bandra apartment, the couple will proceed towards a five-star hotel in Bandra for a treat,” affirmed a source.

“The registry will take place at Imran’s home where mamu Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao and a few close friends will be there.

"The wedding will be celebrated with a dinner at the hotel where the guests witnessing the wedding will be treated to a special Mughlai and Thai menu prepared by the chefs,” the source concluded.

The 17th Star Screen Awards recently took place with much pomp and fanfare. It was a real feast for the eyes as all the biggies of tinsel town descended at the gala event.
The attendees were seen in a fun and upbeat mood while the Screen awards unleashed a never seen before euphoria.
Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan and pretty lady Vidya Balan stole the show as they won the Best Actor and Best Actress trophies for Dabangg and Ishqiya respectively.
A round of cheers and hearty claps greeted director Vikramaditya Motwane when he strode down holding the Best Director award for his flick Udaan which was declared Best Film of 2010. It was a moment of frenzy for all when Ranveer Singh was declared the Most Promising Newcomer (Male) for last year’s surprise hit Band Baaja Baaraat and Most Promising Newcomer (Female) went to Sonakshi Sinha for Dabangg.
The other award winners who sashayed down the stage holding their screen trophies are given as below-
Shahrukh Khan bagged the Best Actor Male in Popular Choice for My Name Is Khan.

No One Killed Jessica Premiere

The makers of No One Killed Jessica seem to be confident of their product. Unlike most Bollywood films that are premiered just a day before the release date, the film was shown to the critics and film fraternity three days before it is to be released world wide. And as expected, it turned out to be a star-studded event.

Yes, it was celebrity galore at No One Killed Jessica premiere. Big actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha and Shabana Azmi attended the premiere besides the cast of the film Rani Mukherjee, Vidya Balan and Myra Karn. Actress Kalki Koechlin and filmmakers like Yash Chopra, Madhur Bhandarkar, Shekhar Kapoor and Dibaker Banerjee also graced the premiere of the film.

No One Killed Jessica is based on model Jessica Lal’s murder case. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film has Rani playing the role of a reporter and Vidya playing Jessica’s younger sister Sabrina. It is set to hit the theatres tomorrow, January 7.

One of the most popular Hindi General Entertainment Channels (GEC) Colors today said it will launch two new daily soaps that will replace reality show Bigg Boss 4 which ends this week.

Phulwa and Mukti Bandhan will be aired in the 9 to 10 pm prime time band from January 12.

The serials will take the viewers to two extreme worlds with stories that pan out from one end of the spectrum to another - an 11-year-old playful girl living in the ravines
of Chambal (Phulwa) to the plush lifestyle of an egoistic top-rung 50-something businessman in Mumbai (Mukti Bandhan),

Ashvini Yardi, Head (Programming), Colors told reporters here. She said Bigg Boss 4 has helped the channel grab eyeballs and it plans to sustain the same and take it to the
next level.

"With the launch of these two shows, our effort is to present varied set-ups that will intrigue the audience across demographics. With Phulwa we will be bringing alive India's
rural heartland while Mukti Bandhan will, for the first time on Indian television, see a 50-year-old male protagonist in a prime time show," she added.

"Phulwa is a young girl's journey of how she witnesses the atrocities of the higher caste, how she decides to face the challenges ahead of her and how she creates her
own destiny," said Siddharth Tewary, Creative Director of Swastik Pictures who has also written the serial's script.

Mukti Bandhan has been adapted from Harkishen Mehta's famous Guajrati novel by the same name. It is the story of an ordinary man, I M Virani, with an extraordinary sense for business who comes out victorious but only with the support of his wife, the serial's producers said.

Patiala House Music Premiere

MUMBAI: The music of T-Series production Patiala House received a day-long premiere on Radio Mirchi Mumbai on Monday. The cast and musical and directorial crew of Patiala House, including Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma director Nikhil Advani, Rishi Kapoor, Shankar, Ehsan and Loy, and singer Hard Kaur and actor Soni Razdan visited the studio to feature on various shows across the day to unveil and speak about the film’s music on air.

On the show Hi Mumbai, the lead pair spoke about the music, their pairing, and the soundtrack of ‘Patiala House’. Akshay sang the song ‘Kyun Main Jaagoon’ on air and said, “Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have done a great job by creating a versatile soundtrack for the various shades in this film.”

Anushka Sharma relived her experiences while shooting the film and commented that her favourite track is ‘Laungda Lashkara’. Music directors Shankar, Ehsan and Loy were intermittently on various shows through the day, and sang some of the songs for listeners. Rishi Kapoor, Soni Razdan and Hard Kaur were also on air.

The Mirchi studio was given a unique ‘Patiala’ avatar with lassiwallah, khatiyas and glasses of lassi to greet the stars thorugh the day.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, ‘Patiala House’ boasts a varied star cast comprising Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Hard Kaur, Prem Chopra, Tinu Anand, Soni razdan and many more talented actors.
