Star Screen Awards 2010
































































The 17th Star Screen Awards recently took place with much pomp and fanfare. It was a real feast for the eyes as all the biggies of tinsel town descended at the gala event.
The attendees were seen in a fun and upbeat mood while the Screen awards unleashed a never seen before euphoria.
Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan and pretty lady Vidya Balan stole the show as they won the Best Actor and Best Actress trophies for Dabangg and Ishqiya respectively.
A round of cheers and hearty claps greeted director Vikramaditya Motwane when he strode down holding the Best Director award for his flick Udaan which was declared Best Film of 2010. It was a moment of frenzy for all when Ranveer Singh was declared the Most Promising Newcomer (Male) for last year’s surprise hit Band Baaja Baaraat and Most Promising Newcomer (Female) went to Sonakshi Sinha for Dabangg.
The other award winners who sashayed down the stage holding their screen trophies are given as below-
Shahrukh Khan bagged the Best Actor Male in Popular Choice for My Name Is Khan.
Katrina Kaif beat the fellow actresses for the Best Actor Popular Choice (Female) award for her flicks Raajneeti and Tees Maar Khan.
Arshad Warsi went home happy with Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) for Ishqiya.
Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female)went to Shernaz Patel for Guzaarish and Best Actor in a comic role (Male/Female)went to Sanjay Mishra for Phas Gaye Re Obama.
Ronit Roy grabbed the trophy for Udaan in the category of Best Actor in a Negative Role (Male/Female).
Best Performer award was awarded to Ajay Devgn for Golmaal 3
Best Music score was taken by Sajid Wajid for Dabangg and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for My Name Is Khan
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took hold of Best Playback Singer (Male) for the track Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji from Ishqiya and Best Playback Singer (Female) was captured by Shreya Ghoshal – Bahara for I Hate Luv Storys
Best New Talent In Musicwas gripped by Mamta Sharma for Munni Badnaam from Dabangg
Best Lyrics went to Gulzar for – Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji – Ishqiya
Maneesh Sharma snatched the award of Most Promising Debut Director for Band Baaja Baaraat.
Best Story was bagged by Amit Rai for his film Road To Sangam
Best Choreography trophy went to Farah Khan for Munni Badnaam of Dabangg
Pritam scored the Most Popular Music award for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai
critically acclaimed Peepli Live won the title of Best Ensemble Cast
Mukund Gupta stood tall holding the Best Art Direction trophy for Do Dooni Chaar
Best Action award was taken by Master Vijayan for Dabangg and Habib Faisal took Best Dialogue for Band Baaja Baraat.
Anjum Rajabali and Prakash Jha were awarded with Best Screenplay title for Raajneeti
Ayaan Barodia was named the Best Child Artiste for Udaan
Last but not the least, Namrata Rao was stated the Best Editor for Band Baaja Baraat.
Well, this is how the 17th Star Screen Awards -one remarkable and grand event, which was infused with Bollywood tadka came to an end..
